At the time of notification of absence, the employee must state the reasons for his/her absence and the exact date or dates of anticipated absence. In the event of the failure by an employee to give such notice, the employee shall, within twenty-four (24) hours of his/her return to work, provide to the Custodial and Maintenance Manager or his/her designee a statement in writing of the reasons for the absence in question. Failure of the employee to give such latter statement in writing within three (3) working days, shall result in the forfeiture by the employee of his/her per diem rate of pay for the absence in question.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.
