Sick Leave for Part time Employees For the purposes of crediting and debiting sick leave the following will apply: (a) ▇▇▇▇ leave will be credited at the same rate as applies for permanent employees. (b) Irrespective of the hours worked on a particular day, each day of absence which would normally be worked, will be debited as one full day of sick leave. Where a current Ministry employee employed in a Field Staff position is appointed to a Service Manager role covered by this Agreement, they shall transition onto the Service Managers sick leave provisions outlined in clause 4 as follows. If the Field Staff employee is currently entitled to a bulk allocation of sick leave under the Field Staff Agreement, they will receive their next entitlement under that scheme and move to 15 days per year from their next anniversary date. If they have accrued sick leave in excess of 260 days at the date of the transition they will retain such accrued leave for their use. If this accrued leave reduces to below 260 days the limit of 260 days accrual will apply from that point. If the Field Staff employee is currently entitled to 10 days sick leave per year under the Field Staff Agreement, they shall transition to 15 days under this Agreement (provided they have in excess of 2 years service) on their next anniversary. The Government and the CTU have been working through a Public Sector Pay Adjustment (PSPA) process. Sick Leave for Part. Time Employees 6.7.1 Part-time employees are entitled to the full sick leave entitlement (in days). 6.7.2 When they are absent due to sickness they are to be paid for the hours they would have worked. 6.7.3 Their sick leave balance should be reduced by deducting the first working day lost, the last working day lost and all days in between.
Sick Leave for Part. Time Employees‌ Part-time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits on the basis of one and three-quarters (1 3/4) days per month prorated on the basis of hours worked in that month.

Sick Leave for Part. Time Faculty: Part-time faculty members of the District shall be granted sick leave accrual for full semester classes based on the number of hours the class meets per week (i.e., instructor part-time faculty member teaching a 3-hour per week class would earn 3 hours of sick leave for that class). Part-time instructors who teach less than a full semester class will earn their sick leave in a proportionate basis.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.
