Common use of SIGN LANGUAGE PREMIUM Clause in Contracts

SIGN LANGUAGE PREMIUM. Any qualified employee who is covered by the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding and is requested by the Communications Assistance Center to utilize sign language shall receive compensation equal to the first premium level rate above the appropriate step rate of the salary range prescribed for his/her class for each business day the skill is used. Such practices of additional compensation shall be in accordance with Section 4.84.1 of the LAAC.
