Sliding Scale Sample Clauses

A Sliding Scale clause establishes a variable framework for determining payments, fees, or other contractual obligations based on changing factors such as volume, time, or performance. In practice, this means that the amount owed or received adjusts according to a predetermined schedule or formula—for example, a supplier might charge lower unit prices as the quantity purchased increases, or a service provider’s fee could decrease over the length of a contract. The core function of this clause is to provide flexibility and fairness by aligning costs or benefits with actual usage or performance, thereby incentivizing certain behaviors and accommodating fluctuations in demand or output.
