Snow clearing Clause Samples

The Snow Clearing clause outlines the responsibilities for removing snow from specified areas, such as driveways, walkways, or parking lots, within a property. It typically designates which party—such as the landlord, tenant, or property manager—is responsible for ensuring timely and adequate snow removal, and may set standards for when and how snow must be cleared, for example, within a certain number of hours after snowfall. This clause ensures safety and accessibility during winter months, clarifies obligations, and helps prevent disputes or liability issues related to snow accumulation.
Snow clearing. Snow clearing, which is separate from track work will not be subject to section 11.02 (b) above.
Snow clearing. The tenant must keep all walkways and driveways on their Site cleared of snow at all times. At the option of the landlord and after providing 3 days written notice the landlord may clear the snow at the expense of the tenant. Such work will be billed to the tenant at the cost to the landlord plus 20%. Tenant must also keep a pathway cleared to the gas meter at all times for meter reading.
Snow clearing. Where hard packed snow and ice not exceeding 20mm thick has formed, and the air temperature is above minus 5°C, removal will be achieved by successive spreading of de-icing material. Below minus 5°C or where the snow or ice is more than 20mm thick great care will be taken as the use of de-icing material alone can result in an uneven and slippery surface. A single sized abrasive aggregate of particle size of 6mm, or 5mm sharp sand and having low fines content will be added to the de-icing material on a 1:1 ratio. Reversion to the use of de-icing material only will be made as soon as possible. Abrasive aggregates will be considered as a supplement in urban areas where de-icing material alone would provide an unacceptably slippery surface. During prolonged periods of snowfall at locations where the use of salt for de-icing is prohibited, ploughing will be continuous followed by repeated applications of de-icing chemical. If snow becomes hard packed consideration will be given to applying 5mm sharp sand to aid traction while snow clearing operations are being carried out.
Snow clearing. The District shall be responsible for snow clearing and de-icing of all pedestrian walkways, sidewalks, patios and emergency exits around the Facility perimeter, and shall ensure that such clearing and de-icing occurs each morning on which it is required and thereafter following the District’s Snow Removal – exits and doors Policy #8-026, as amended from time to time, throughout each day that snow or icy conditions persist.
Snow clearing. The City will use its reasonable best efforts to clear snow from the driveway at the Pound from time to time, but the Society shall be responsible for all other snow clearing at the Pound.
