Snow and Ice. Every effort will be made to clear snow and ice from paths and access routes within the grounds of the halls as soon as circumstances allow. High risk areas (e.g. steps and slopes) will be prioritised for attention. Persons with mobility difficulties or who anticipate particular problems should make themselves known to the hospitality team on site. When you live in halls not only are you responsible for looking after your room, you are also responsible for ensuring that the communal areas are kept in a reasonable condition. This means that you will be held personally responsible for noise and damage in your own room. Given that the upkeep of your room/flat/corridor is your responsibility it is in your interest to report maintenance concerns as soon as they happen.

(b) Notification is defined as:
1. Official school closing information as carried on Flint radio stations – WFDF, WWCK, WCRZ, WKMF, WIOG, and OLDIES 96. Also viewed on Channel 12.
2. School closing information which is transmitted via telephone directly to bus driver and/or bus driver’s residence.
3. School closing information is transmitted by direct personal contact to bus driver and/or bus driver’s residence.

Snow and Ice. The Town will, at the Town’s expense: remove snow from the Driveways and Parking Lot (but not Farm Roads); and furnish Tenant with an appropriate number of buckets of rock salt and/or sand to be used to melt any ice that may form on walkways and porches of the Habitable Buildings.

At the committee meetings, the existing Snow and Ice policy will be discussed to allow the Union to make suggestions by way of addition, deletion, or modification. The final version of the Snow and Ice policy will be decided by the Highway Maintenance Engineer and approved by the Franklin County Engineer. Violations of the Employer’s policy may be grieved up to Step 3 of the grievance procedure, but the Union agrees that the decision of the Human Resources Department (Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of Human Resources, or Assistant Human Resources Director) is final and binding on the parties and cannot be challenged in any other venue.
Snow and Ice a. The City will respond to Snow and Ice events in accordance with their current Snow and Ice Response Plan. The County streets within this agreement are fully incorporated into the City response plan. The overall goal is to achieve one passable lane in each direction as soon as possible after a winter storm. Due to limited resources, the City places the priority on Emergency Transportation Routes, and higher volume roads.
b. The City will use and implement ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, plows, anti-icing chemicals, and salt in their snow and ice response. In some severe cases a road may be temporarily closed to protect the public. The level of response will vary depending on the type, severity, and duration of the storm event. The level of response provided will be the same level provided by the City to adjacent city streets of the same classification within the City limits. Snow and Ice responses shall be provided in a manner consistent with applicable winter weather best management practices.
c. The City will plan, train, and prepare for Snow and Ice winter weather on an annual basis. For each recognized Snow and Ice event, the City will stand up and operate an Incident Command Structure (ICS). The ICS will be a 24-hour, 7-day per week ongoing operation until the winter storm event is over and the response is no longer necessary.
