Common use of Speaking Another Language Clause in Contracts

Speaking Another Language. Eligible unit employees who are certified by the City to speak (basic conversational skill) another language (other languages include but not limited to Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese) determined by the City other than English shall receive fifty dollars ($50) per month for use of this language in the performance of their job.

Speaking Another Language. Eligible unit employees who who, are certified by the City and appointed by their Department Director or designee, to speak (basic conversational skill) another a language (other languages include but are not limited to Spanish, Chinese and Mandarin, Chinese, Vietnamese) determined , or other languages as approved in advance by the City Manager or designee) other than English shall receive fifty dollars ($5050.00) per month for use of this language in the performance of their job.
