Common use of Standby Allowance Clause in Contracts

Standby Allowance. i) An employee on standby shall be paid three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the standby period. When a recognized holiday occurs during an employee(s) standby duty, they shall be paid an additional fifty $50.00. When a paid holiday occurs on a Friday, the transfer of duties will occur at the end of the shift on the Thursday preceding the holiday. ii) When the employee on standby duty is required to respond to a call, they shall be compensated per Article 11.05 (Call-Out) in addition to the compensation mentioned above. iii) If more than one (1) call occurs within the three (3) hour period of any other call, the time will be considered to be continuous.
