PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. 21.01 (a) The rates of pay for employees shall be in accordance with the rates set out in the attached Schedule "A" which form part of this Agreement.
PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. 18.01 The Employer will pay salaries by bi-weekly direct deposits. Payments will be made on the fourth working day following the close of the pay period and in accordance with the salary rates outlined in Schedule “A”. A pay period is defined as 14 consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday. 26.01 EQUAL PAY The Employer shall not discriminate between male and female employees by employing a person of one sex for any work at a rate of pay that is less than the rate of pay at which a person of the other sex is employed for similar or substantially similar work.
26.02 RATES OF PAY Employees shall be paid according to rates of pay set out in Schedules A and B.
26.03 SUBSTITUTION PAY When an employee is designated to temporarily substitute in, or performs the principle duties of, a position in a higher-grade level, the employee shall receive the rate for the job, which provides the employee with an increase in salary. Once an employee accumulates a total of six (6) months substitution time in a specific position over a three (3) year period, the employee, if being paid at the step one
(1) rate, shall receive the full rate of pay for future substitutions in that position. In the case of co-op students and temporary employees, the entry-level rate for the job shall be paid. Where bargaining unit employees temporarily accept non-bargaining unit positions they shall remain members of the bargaining unit and retain all rights and privileges of this Collective Agreement save and except that if the temporary appointment exceeds five (5) working days, the provisions of this Agreement covering hours of work, overtime, shift differential and premium time payments do not apply.
26.04 RATE OF PAY ON TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT An employee temporarily assigned by the Employer to a position with a rate of pay lower than the employee’s regular rate of pay shall maintain their regular rate of pay.
26.05 RATE OF PAY ON PROMOTION, DEMOTION OR TRANSFER An employee shall move to the increment step for promotion, demotion, or lateral transfer as follows:
a) Promotion – To the step which provides the smallest increase.
b) Demotion – To the step which provides the smallest decrease.
c) Lateral Transfer – To the same step the employee currently occupies.

PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. (A) Pay Days The Employer shall pay salaries and wages bi-weekly in accordance with Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of this Agreement. On each pay day, each employee shall be provided with an itemized statement of their wages and deductions.
(B) Vacation Pay While on vacation all 12-month employees shall receive their pay on regular bi-weekly pay days. All 10-month employees will be offered a choice as to whether they want to be paid out their vacation entitlements at the end of May each year or to use their remaining vacation entitlements to stay on payroll past their last day of work. All 8-month grounds employees will accrue vacation entitlement and not be paid out vacation pay. Those employees choosing to be paid out their entitlements at the end of May shall receive vacation pay on their regular bi-weekly pay dates during Christmas and Spring Break. The vacation year shall be from July 1st until June 30th for those 10-month employees who choose to remain on payroll past their last day of work. Those choosing to remain on payroll will not qualify for the B.C. Day statutory holiday.
(C) Pay During Temporary Transfers If an employee substitutes on any job during the absence of another employee, or performs duties of a higher classification, the employee shall receive the rate for the job or their regular rate, whichever is the greater. When an employee is regularly assigned to a position paying a lower rate, their rate shall not be reduced for a period of three (3) months following their regular assignment to a lower rate position.

a) Wages shall be paid bi-weekly on a Friday in accordance with the wage schedules attached and forming part of this Agreement.
b) Employees’ wages shall be deposited bi-weekly on a Friday by direct deposit to a financial institution of the Employee's choice. On each pay day, each Employee shall be provided with an itemized statement of the Employee's earnings, deductions and amount deposited to the Employee's account.
PAYMENT OF WAGES AND ALLOWANCES. All Educational Assistants/Intervenors are assigned to a school(s). However, if an Educational Assistant/Intervenor is assigned to a specific student within a school and said student is absent from school for greater than four (4) weeks, the Educational Assistant/Intervenor assigned to such student will not be required to report to work and will not be paid for the remaining period of the student’s absence. The Educational Assistant/Intervenor may elect, after a period of four (4) weeks to exercise their rights in accordance with Article 18 (▇▇▇▇▇▇ & Recall) in its entirety. In such instances where the Educational Assistant/Intervenor is not required to work due to the absence of the student, their name will be placed on the Casual Call-Out List for priority call-outs, in order of their seniority.
