Common use of Starting Location Clause in Contracts

Starting Location. The starting location of the orchestra shall normally be designated as the orchestra pit or bandstand. If it is necessary for a portion of the orchestra, or an individual instrumentalist to move during the performance from the starting location to another designated playing area in the theatre, whether or not in costume, there shall be an additional amount payable to the affected musician(s) of not less than ten percent (10%) of the musician’s minimum basic fee.
