STATE’S ABILITY TO MODIFY SCOPE OF MASTER CONTRACT Clause Samples

The "State’s Ability to Modify Scope of Master Contract" clause grants the state the authority to change, expand, or reduce the range of goods, services, or deliverables covered by the master contract during its term. In practice, this means the state can issue written amendments to adjust project requirements, timelines, or quantities as needs evolve, often with notice to the contractor and possible adjustments to compensation. This clause ensures the contract remains flexible and responsive to the state’s changing needs, while providing a formal mechanism for managing such changes and minimizing disputes.
