Step I. The member of the bargaining unit or the Association shall first present the matter to the building principal or immediate supervisor within ten (10) working days of learning of an alleged violation, misinterpretation or misapplication. It is the responsibility of the bargaining unit member, during the course of the informal meeting, to notify the building principal or immediate supervisor that the discussion is step one of the grievance procedure. If satisfaction is not obtained within ten (10) working days following the informal meeting, the employee and/or the Association may proceed to Step II.
