Common use of Stores and Materials Clause in Contracts

Stores and Materials. The Contractor shall, at his own cost and expense, provide all materials required for the works, other than those listed in Schedule ‘B’, which are to be supplied by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. All materials to be supplied by the Contractor shall be of the best kind as described in the specifications and the Contractor shall, if requested by the Engineer–in–charge, furnish proof to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge, that the materials so comply with the specifications. The contractor shall, at his own expense and without delay, supply samples of materials proposed to be used in the execution of the work for approval of the Engineer–in–charge, who may reject the materials not corresponding either in quality or character to the approved samples. In the case of stores provided under Schedule ‘B’ the Contractor shall bear the cost of loading, transporting to site, unloading, storing under cover as required assembling and jointing the several parts together as necessary and incorporating or fixing these stores materials in the work, including all preparatory work of whatever description as may be required, and of closing, preparing, loading and returning empty cases or containers to the place of issue without any extra charges.

Stores and Materials.
