Student Surveys. (a) The District and Association will mutually agree upon the method and system used for the collection of student surveys in order to ensure the highest possible participation rate. (b) Student surveys will be conducted in all classes taught by the faculty member during the fall and spring semesters so that faculty can use them for self-improvement. Student surveys are to be initiated prior to December 1 for the fall semester and prior to May 1 for the spring semester. Student surveys will be available to the faculty member after the due date for grades.
(c) The objective of student surveys is to determine the student response to areas such as the fulfillment of the stated and distributed course objectives, effective communication, and respect for students’ rights and needs. When a faculty member is being evaluated, the student surveys for each of the semesters within the formal evaluation period will be available to the ▇▇▇▇/academic administrator or designee and the information may be used in the faculty performance evaluation.
(d) There is no minimum percentage of student survey responses required. However, if student respondents for any one class fall below the required minimums (as outlined below), such responses may only be used by the ▇▇▇▇/academic administrator for the purpose of ensuring that the faculty member is meeting their professional obligations and/or adhering to Board Policy requirements, after validation by the ▇▇▇▇/academic administrator. Student Surveys. Student surveys shall be administered between the 40% and 75% completion point of the respective course (For student evaluations use forms in APPENDIX C-5). Instructions to students are to be provided to the students verbatim as set forth in APPENDIX C-5a.

a) The Provider will supply the Minister with information necessary to effectively conduct a student survey.
b) The Minister may publish the results of student surveys, provided that information is not disclosed that would identify individual students.

Quantitative (numerical) student survey results will be included in the evaluation, including the number of student responses received. Survey results will be weighted accordingly based on student response rate.
ii. Student surveys may be administered for all contracted sessions during an evaluation period. Unit members will be notified of when student surveys will be distributed, whether in-person or online.
iii. Unit members with non-classroom assignments should obtain a minimum of thirty-five (35) responses from the Student Survey of Non- Classroom Services.
iv. Copies of the student surveys will be given to the unit member upon grade submission for that course.
Student Surveys. The DOE shall pilot student surveys during the 2013-2014 at mutually agreed upon schools and in all schools during the 2014-2015 school year. During the pilot, student surveys shall not be used for evaluative purposes. At the conclusion of each pilot year, the DOE and UFT shall meet to discuss the results of the pilot and discuss the possibility of continuing/ discontinuing the pilot and use of the surveys for evaluative purposes. If agreement is not reached at the conclusion of each pilot year, the student surveys shall be used for non-eval- uative purposes in the 2014-2015 school year and evaluative purposes starting in the 2015-16 school year and thereaf- ter. The implementation and scoring of the student surveys in 2015-16 and thereafter shall be consistent with the Commis- sioner’s Decision.
