Submission of Vacation Requests. after January A. Vacations are scheduled and approved in accordance with the workload requirements of the Employer. B. Vacation requests which are at least one (1) week in duration, which shall be defined as the Employee’s scheduled work hours for that week, shall be given first preference. If an employee receives vacation time due to this preference, and subsequently amends his/her vacation request to be less than one week in duration as defined above, that employee shall lose all days requested under this provision and must reapply for vacation leave. Before granting the Employee his or her new request, the Employer will attempt to see if any other Employee had put in for vacation for that week or a part of that week, and if so, that Employee shall be given first preference. C. If conflicting vacation requests are submitted under Section 27.6(B) above, seniority shall apply to resolve the conflict, not the amount of days being requested.
