Substitute Policy Clause Samples

A Substitute Policy clause defines the conditions under which one insurance policy may be replaced by another during the term of an agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the process for notifying the other party, the requirements the substitute policy must meet (such as equivalent coverage and limits), and any approvals needed before the substitution is effective. Its core practical function is to provide flexibility for the insured party to change insurance providers or policies without breaching contractual obligations, while ensuring that the other party remains adequately protected.
