Common use of Supervision of Work Clause in Contracts

Supervision of Work. Except for Work which is to be performed by third parties and unless the Contract Documents give other specific instructions concerning these matters, Contractor shall supervise and direct the Work. Except for Work which is to be performed by third parties, Contractor shall be solely responsible for and have control over construction means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures and for coordinating all portions of the Work performed by at the direction of Contractor under this Agreement, unless the Contract Documents give other specific instructions concerning these matters. Contractor shall be responsible to Owner for the acts and omissions of Contractor’s employees, Subcontractors and their agents and employees, and all other persons performing portions of the Work by or for Contractor. Contractor shall enforce discipline and good order among Contractor’s employees, Subcontractors and any other persons carrying out the Work by or for Contractor. Contractor shall not permit the employment or utilization of unfit persons or persons not skilled in tasks assigned to them.
