Supervisory Control Clause Samples

The Supervisory Control clause establishes the authority and procedures for oversight and direction of certain activities or operations within an agreement. Typically, this clause designates a party—such as a project manager or regulatory body—with the right to monitor, direct, or intervene in the performance of work to ensure compliance with standards or requirements. For example, it may allow a client to review and approve key project milestones or require the contractor to follow specific instructions issued by the supervisor. The core function of this clause is to maintain quality and compliance by granting oversight powers, thereby reducing the risk of errors or deviations from agreed-upon objectives.
