The Surplus Periods clause defines specific timeframes during which excess resources, capacity, or benefits beyond the standard allocation may be utilized or accrued.   • Fiscal Periods Change its fiscal year-end to a date other than December 31, or its fiscal quarters to a date other than March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.

  • Break Periods The parties agree that the paid rest period contemplated by Article 16(e) shall be taken during times that will not interfere with the operation of the Strong Start Centre.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Waiting Periods All applicable waiting periods, if any, under the HSR Act shall have expired or been terminated.
