Common use of TEACHING AND LEARNING Clause in Contracts

TEACHING AND LEARNING.  I will always actively supervise, or arrange for suitable adult supervision of pupils that I have directed or allowed to use the Internet.  I will embed the school’s e-safety curriculum into my teaching, using agreed resources and materials.  I will ensure I am aware of digital safety-guarding issues so they are appropriately embedded in my classroom practice.  I will only use the Internet for professional purposes when pupils are present in an ICT suite, or a classroom with Internet access.  I will not publish or distribute work that is protected by copyright.  I will teach pupils to reference online resources when they use them in a report or publication.  I will not give out or share personal addresses (including email), telephone / fax numbers of any adult or students working at the school.  I will not take pupil data, photographs or video from the school premises without the full permission of the head teacher e.g. on a laptop, memory stick or any other removable media.  I will ensure any confidential data that I wish to transport from one location to another is protected by encryption and that I follow school data security protocols when using any such data at any location.  I will respect the privacy of other users’ data, and will never enter the file areas of other staff without their express permission.  I understand that data protection policy requires that any information seen by me with regard to staff or pupil information, held within the school’s information management system, will be kept private and confidential, EXCEPT when it is deemed necessary that I am required by law to disclose such information to an appropriate authority.  I will use the collaborative year group inboxes to communicate and respond to pupils’ work. I will not communicate with pupils by personal emails. I Know I can contact the school ICT technician if unsure.  If recording videos/video lessons (including taking still photographs) I will film in a neutral area where nothing personal or inappropriate can be seen or heard in the background. Additionally, I will ensure I am dressed in accordance with the Staff Dress and Appearance section in the Appendix on Safeguarding for Online Home Learning found in the Staff ICT Security Policy and Staff Agreement.  I will not conduct livestreaming lessons.

I will embed the school’s e-safety curriculum into my model safe and responsible behaviour in pupils when using ICT to support learning and teaching, using agreed resources and materials.  I • -I will ensure that I am aware of digital safetymy individual responsibilities relating to the safeguarding of children within the context of Safety and know what to do in the event of misuse of technology by any member of the school community. • -I understand the importance of respecting and acknowledging copyright of materials found on the internet and will model best practice in the creation of my own resources at all times. • -I will use my school email address for all correspondence with staff, parents, governors or other agencies and I understand that any use of the school email system will be monitored and checked. I will under no circumstances use my private email account for any school-guarding issues so they are appropriately embedded related business. • -Communication between staff and pupils or members of the wider school community should be professional and related to school matters only. • -I will ensure that any posts made on websites or via electronic communication, by either myself or the pupils in my classroom practicecare, will not damage the reputation of my school. • I will not synchronise any school email account with a personally-owned handheld device unless secured with password or suitable biometric protection (face unlock/fingerprint) • I agree that by synching my mobile device to my work email, I/Danson Primary School have the ability to remotely wipe the device should it be lost or stolen • I will take care in opening any attachments sent by email. I will only use open emails and associated attachments from trusted senders. Any emails that you’re unsure of please email to IT Support • Emails sent to external organisations will be written carefully and authorised before sending to protect myself. As and when I feel it necessary, I will carbon copy (cc) the Internet for professional purposes when pupils are present Headteacher, line manager or another suitable member of staff into the email. • I will ensure that I manage my email account, delete unwanted emails and file those I need to keep in an ICT suitesubject folders all emails we be purged after 120 days. • I will access my school email account on a regular basis to ensure that I respond in a timely manner to communications that require my attention. • Danson reserves the right to monitor communications received my system users, employees and temporary users • I will ensure that my mobile phone and any other personally-owned device is switched off or switched to ‘silent’ mode during school hours. • Bluetooth communication will be ‘hidden’ or switched off and mobile phones or devices will not be used during teaching periods unless permission has been granted by a classroom with Internet accessmember of the Senior Leadership Team in emergency circumstances.
