Technical Clarification. Technical clarification is the project phase where the Contractor undertakes engineering and design activities and clarifies all technical issues with the Employer. After the Contractor concludes the necessary investigations and the verification, the Project Manager shall be presented with the designs and philosophies developed during the systems engineering design phase for discussion and finalisation. This is to cover as a minimum: High level design to meet the performance criteria specified for the Works. Engineering system. Documented proposals for process design acceptance testing, installation and commissioning procedures as well as maintenance documentation. Quality assurance measures to be applied. On completion of the system engineering, the Contractor shall present the complete system design to the Employer for acceptance during formal Clarification Meetings. The documentation prepared by the Contractor for the Clarification Meetings shall be submitted to the Employer at least 7 working days prior to the start of technical clarification discussions.
