Technical Details. The type and construction of junction boxes shall be subject to the Employer's approval.  Mounting plate  Number of terminals is dependent on cable configuration. Terminals are on DIN rail with end stops and end plates. All terminals must be numbered top and bottom from left to right.  Screen bar  Separate removable gland plate on the bottom.  Glands  Cable trunking at the bottom and the top and at least one side.  Any additional equipment to make a complete assembly.  Powder coated 3CR12 stainless steel.  IP65 degree of protection All cables shall be glanded with suitable compression glands, as far as possible to the back of the gland plate, without affecting the IP65 rating. Provision of spare cores for future expansion shall be made, 25% of the installed base. The Contractor shall familiarise himself with the plant areas and environmental conditions and provide alternative solutions where environmental conditions require higher protection. The Contractor shall label junction boxes in accordance with Employer’s system.
