Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) Sample Clauses

A Technical Direction Letter (TDL) clause authorizes the client or project manager to issue formal written instructions to the contractor regarding the technical aspects of the work. These letters typically clarify requirements, provide additional technical details, or direct specific methods to be used, without altering the contract's scope, price, or schedule. By establishing a clear process for communicating technical guidance, the clause ensures that both parties have a documented and consistent understanding of technical expectations, reducing the risk of misunderstandings and disputes during project execution.
