Technical Education. 25 NOTE 1: In the event any high school class size maximums exceeded by 1 to 3 students, any teacher assigned such additional students shall be compensated at the rate per period set forth in sub- section 8-e of Appendix A. NOTE 2: For a teacher assigned to teach five (5) periods daily, the maximum number of students assigned to said teacher shall be 125 except for High School English teachers, whose maximum number of students shall be 100. For a teacher assigned to teach four (4) periods daily, the maximum number of students assigned shall be 100. Technical Education. The contract length for all Emporia Middle School and Emporia High School technical education (industrial arts) teachers is to be for the normal contracted days. In addition, these licensed professionals may work additional time not to exceed 150 hours paid at the extra-duty rate. This rate may be paid for such things as the following:

F. The district shall endeavor to distribute work among staff in an equitable manner and to create class rosters that are balanced and equitable with due consideration for relevant factors including building or district-wide instructional models, class size and composition and the unique characteristics, needs and preference of students. If the Association has a concern about workload distribution among staff or class rosters, the building principal, upon request, shall schedule a meeting with the Association President or designee(s) to discuss such concerns and make reasonable efforts to identify and reach a mutually agreeable resolution with the decision of the building principal being final.
Technical Education a. The University, consistent with its Sexual Violence/Sexual Harassment Policy (SV/SH Policy), will provide technical education to all individuals who investigate Title IX complaints and to all staff, administrators and/or faculty who hear appeals of students who appeal findings/sanctions made by UCR’s Student Conduct and Academic Integrity Programs. Consistent with the University’s SV/SH policies, this training will explain how to conduct adequate, reliable and impartial Title IX investigations to ensure equity between the parties, specifically with respect to the equitable opportunity to present witness testimony and evidence. The training topics will also include factors to consider in determining whether to interview witnesses identified by either party, and how to apply the investigated facts to the University’s definition of sexual harassment and hostile environment. b. Prior to conducting any appeal and consistent with its SV/SH policy, the University will ensure that all faculty and staff newly assigned to conduct appeals of sexual harassment and sexual assault complaints in student cases receive technical education within six months of their appointments to hear such appeals.
Technical Education. Paraprofessionals: CTE paraprofessionals must be eligible for and meet all CTE paraprofessional requirements as outlined by MDE and qualify for annual career authorization or CTE substitute authorization.
