TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS & RESPONSIBILITY PAY. 17.01 When an Employee is directed to perform the duties of a classification covered by this Collective Agreement to which is assigned a higher salary scale, she shall be paid in addition to her hourly rate as set out in the Salaries Appendix, the difference between the beginning rate in the salary scale for her classification and the beginning rate in the salary scale of the classification to which she is temporarily assigned. The resultant basic rate of pay shall not exceed the maximum rate of the salary scale of the classification to which she is temporarily assigned. This provision shall not apply where the period of temporary assignment is less than one (1) full shift.
