Common use of TEMPORARY STAFF Clause in Contracts

TEMPORARY STAFF. a) A temporary staff representative, under this Agreement, means those employed for a period of less than six (6) months total accumulated time and shall be entitled to all benefits of this Agreement. Notice will be given to the Staff Union of all temporary staff, the reason, and the approximate duration of employment. This six (6) month period may be extended by mutual agreement. b) Temporary staff representatives, as outlined above, who subsequently become permanent shall have such service counted for the purposes of seniority and vacation entitlement. c) The number of temporary staff shall not exceed ten (10) percent of the bargaining unit, except by mutual agreement. d) In addition to the above, it is agreed that CAW may employ, at any time, up to ten
