Temporary Total Disability. An employee injured on the job and determined by the authorized treating physician to be temporarily totally disabled shall be placed on industrial insurance. Commencing on the first day post injury, the City will pay to the employee an amount equal to the difference between the insurance compensation received and 100% of the employee’s normal salary for a period of fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days or until the employee is released to Light Duty, whichever occurs first. One hundred percent (100%) payment ceases when the employee is released to Temporary Work Assignment or Full Duty.
