Terminal Illness (TI) Benefit Clause Samples

The Terminal Illness (TI) Benefit clause provides for the early payment of a portion or all of a life insurance policy’s death benefit if the insured is diagnosed with a terminal illness, typically defined as having a life expectancy of 12 to 24 months or less. To access this benefit, the policyholder must submit medical evidence confirming the diagnosis, and the insurer will review and approve the claim before disbursing funds. This clause is designed to offer financial support to the insured during a critical time, helping cover medical expenses or other needs, and alleviates the financial burden associated with terminal illness.
