Common use of Temporary Transfer to Non-Bargaining Unit Positions Clause in Contracts

Temporary Transfer to Non-Bargaining Unit Positions. Where a transfer to an Exempt position is considered to be temporary, the Employee will retain their position and all seniority rights and benefits as set out in the Collective Agreement for a period of up to six (6) months, or in the case of covering a Maternity/Parental Leave of absence, up to one (1) year, which may be extended by agreement between the Union and the Employer. The Employee shall continue to pay Union dues.
