Common use of Term Positions Clause in Contracts

Term Positions. Except with prior mutual agreement between the Union and the Employer, no term position may extend beyond two (2) years. Should the Employer wish a term position to extend beyond a period of two (2) years, that position must become a regular position which must be offered to the incumbent of the term position, and his or her seniority shall be the initial date of hire into his or her term position.
