Common use of Termination of Deduction Clause in Contracts

Termination of Deduction. Deductions for Union dues and/or uniform assessments shall continue until either: 1) revoked by the employee by providing the Board and the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 850 with thirty (30) days written notice that he is terminating the prior checkoff authorization, 2) the expiration of the term of this collective bargaining agreement, 3) the termination of employment, or 4) the promotion or demotion of the authorizing employee out of this bargaining unit.

Deductions for Union Association dues and/or uniform assessments shall continue until either: : (1) revoked by the employee by providing the Board City Human Resources and the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 850 Workforce Development Department and Association with thirty (30) days written notice that he is terminating the prior checkoff authorization, , (2) the expiration of the term of this collective bargaining agreement, 3) the termination of employmentthe authorizing employee, or 4) the promotion or transfer, promotion, demotion of the authorizing employee out of this bargaining unitunit unless it is to another position where the Association is the certified bargaining agent.

When an employee returns from an approved leave status, dues deductions shall continue if that employee had previously submitted a Dues Checkoff Authorization Form.

Deductions for Union dues and/or uniform assessments shall continue until either: : (1) revoked by the employee by providing through the Board and the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 850 with thirty electronic due’s deduction stop process in PeopleSoft, or (30) days written notice that he is terminating the prior checkoff authorization, 2) the expiration of the term of this collective bargaining agreement, 3) the termination of employmentthe authorizing employee, or 4or (3) the promotion or transfer, promotion, demotion of the authorizing employee out of this bargaining unit, or (4) the employee’s membership in the Union is revoked under the Union’s Constitution and Bylaws and 30 calendar days written or emailed notice given to the Tallahassee Fire Department-Human Resources Office by the Local 2339 President.
