Testing Accommodations. Mrs. ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇, who holds certification for special education, will oversee the testing program, ensuring that students with accommodations (such as extra time) can take tests according to their student learning plan. This accommodation helps level the playing field for students with dyslexia and other learning differences, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills without the added pressure of time constraints. No book bags with wheels. Room mothers will be in charge of parties but will contact the teacher in advance. Party invitations will not be passed out at school unless all children in your child’s class (or all boys for a BOY party/all girls for a GIRL party) receive an invitation. Students are not permitted to use the phone unless it is an emergency. In the event that a student must phone a parent, the office telephone must be used. NO cell phones will be used between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Any social activity must be arranged before coming to school. Visitors to Canton Academy are always welcome. They should check in at the office upon arrival.
