The Compensation Model. The Model applies to all certificated staff members. Increases for certificated staff may be in the form of stipends increases in salaries, or a combination of both. The Compensation Model is determined by factors that would not yield deficit financing per IC 20-29-6-3. The contract term will follow the identified fiscal year and cannot extend past the state budget biennium. Per IC 20-28-9-1.5 NISEC will use Performance Evaluation results and Experience/Education in determining the Compensation Increase for the 2015-2016 school year. Performance Evaluation: Certified staff rated as Highly Effective or Effective will receive four (4) points. Experience: Certified staff rated as Highly Effective or Effective and who worked at least one hundred twenty (120) days during the previous school year will receive one half (.5) of a point. Education: Certified staff rated as Highly Effective or Effective who have earned: a) eighteen (18) professional growth experience points during the previous year will receive one half (.5) point or b) Successfully completed three (3) college credits in 2014-2015 will receive one half (.5) point. The available funds for those employed in 2015-2016 who have ratings of Highly Effective and Effective from the 2014-2015 school year is $200,000. These funds will be divided among those receiving a Highly Effective or Effective rating and applied to an individual’s base salary. These funds will be payable when all components are finalized through the receipt of information from the Indiana Department of Education. Those receiving a performance rating of Ineffective or Needs Improvement from the 2014-2015 school year may not receive any increase in compensation in the 2015-2016 school year per IC 20- 28.11.5.
