Tool Allowance/Staff Development Allowance. Full time employees who are required to provide their own personal tools to perform mechanic work may receive up to $550 of Tool Allowance/Staff Development Allowance. Part-time employees may receive up to $275 of Tool Allowance/Staff Development Allowance provided in this section. The following employees are required to provide their own tools and are eligible for Tool Allowance/Staff Development Allowance: employees assigned to Fleet Operations or Water Agency as an Automotive Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Lead Automotive Technician, Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Welder. Employees who receive a Tool Allowance/Staff Development Allowance may use their allowance to purchase/replace tools or for any approved Staff Development reason; however, $550.00/$275.00 shall be the maximum amount available for any combination of tool purchase/replacement and staff development.

  • Tool Allowance (a) A tool allowance as set in the relevant Wage Tables in Appendix A per week shall be paid for all purposes to:- (i) Electrical workers at Grade EW 5 and beyond; (ii) Electrical workers performing the duties of: (A) Television Antenna Installer/Erector; (B) Television/Radio/Electronic Equipment Servicemen; and (iii) Apprentices - Contained within the relevant Apprentice Wage Rates.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager. Payment will be made by the first full paycheck of the employee’s date of hire and annually thereafter. Boots must meet applicable OSHA standards for the duties assigned.
