Tool and Boot Allowance. 13.1 Public works mechanic shall, on an annual basis, and upon presentation of an original receipt(s), be eligible for reimbursement up to an amount of three hundred fifty dollars ($350) for tools used in the course of employment. 13.2 If mechanics' tools are stolen or broken by individuals other than the mechanics, said tools will be replaced by the City with a like replacement. It is the responsibility of the mechanics to maintain a current inventory of all tools, with a copy of this inventory to be submitted to the Public Works Operations Manager. This inventory list will contain the trade name, serial number and brand of all tools. 13.3 The Safety Committee will determine what employees by classification should be required to wear protective boots as determined by the Safety Committee. Exceptions may be made to this list for an employee whose individual position requires the wearing of boots while the overall classification does not. The CITY will reimburse employees in all classifications that require boots for safety, a boot allowance of $240 for any two consecutive fiscal years. This boot allowance must be used within that time period to purchase and/or repair leather work boots which will be worn on the job. An original receipt must be presented to the CITY for payment.
Tool and Boot Allowance. A. The City shall reimburse each Technician with an annual tool allowance of $1,250. The tool allowance will not be reimbursed without a valid, itemized receipt. Only tools needed to perform work for the City are covered by the tool allowance. The tool allowance can be carried over annually, provided that the total tool allowance balance never exceeds $2,500. B. The City shall reimburse each Technician and Maintenance Worker with a boot allowance of $500 annually. For employees who have previously utilized the boot allowance, previously purchased boots must be returned to the City prior to reimbursement on a one-to-one basis. The boot allowance will not be reimbursed without a valid, itemized receipt. Boot allowance funds may be applied toward the cost of orthotic insoles or for resoling work boots.
Tool and Boot Allowance. The Employer agrees to provide each employee with an allowance of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per year for the purposes of acquiring personal protective equipment, fire retardant clothing, and tools. The employee shall receive reimbursement on a receipted basis.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager.
