Traffic Factor 1. For traffic exchanged via Interconnection Trunks, a percentage calculated by dividing the number of minutes of interstate traffic (excluding Measured Internet Traffic) by the total number of minutes of interstate and intrastate traffic. ([Interstate Traffic Total Minutes of Use {excluding Measured Internet Traffic Total Minutes of Use} ÷ {Interstate Traffic Total Minutes of Use + Intrastate Traffic Total Minutes of Use}] x 100). Until the form of a Party’s bills is updated to use the term “Traffic Factor 1,” the term “Traffic Factor 1” may be referred to on the Party’s bills and in billing related communications as “Percent Interstate Usage” or “PIU.”
