Transfer of Authority Clause Samples

The Transfer of Authority clause establishes the conditions and procedures under which one party may delegate or assign its decision-making powers or responsibilities to another party. Typically, this clause outlines the scope of authority being transferred, any limitations or requirements for notification, and the effective date of the transfer. For example, it may allow a project manager to delegate certain approval rights to a subordinate during an absence. The core function of this clause is to ensure continuity and clarity in operations by formally documenting how and when authority can be shifted within an organization or between parties.
