Common use of Transfer of Labour Clause in Contracts

Transfer of Labour. 8.1 If a temporary halt to productive work occurs which is not the fault or the responsibility of the Company, the parties agree that employees can be relocated to other unaffected areas within the company to continue productive work or to other sites if work is available. Employees relocated in this manner will continue to be paid in accordance with this Agreement during the temporary transfer. 8.2 If an employee is required to relocate to another site at the request of the Employer the transfer and any costs associated with the transfer will be borne by the Employer (e.g. car parking, tolls etc). 8.3 This clause only refers to transfers between sites on any one day and does not include any costs, such as tolls, associated with the employee travelling to and from the site/s for the commencement of the working day.
