Common use of Transfer of Seniority and Service Clause in Contracts

Transfer of Seniority and Service. (For Employees who transfer subsequent to September 30, 1985) Application of seniority for purposes of promotion, demotion, transfer, lay-off and recall and service for vacation entitlement and wage progression: (a) An Employee whose status is changed from full-time to part-time shall receive full credit for her seniority and service. (b) An Employee whose status is changed from part-time to full-time shall receive credit for her seniority and service on the basis of one year for each 1725 hours worked.
