Transfer to a WWU Position Outside of Unit D. In the event that an employee with seniority rights should be reassigned to a classified position outside of the bargaining unit, either voluntarily or involuntarily, the employee shall retain such seniority rights as exist on the effective date of the reassignment. Should the employee return to the bargaining unit at any future date, the seniority date will be adjusted forward in an amount equal to the break in bargaining unit service. Bargaining unit members who transfer to an exempt civil service position shall retain their seniority for one (1) year.
