Transition Review Period. A. The Agency will require an employee to complete a twelve (12) month transition review period when the employee accepts a layoff option to a job classification in which the employee has: 1. Not held permanent status; 2. Been appointed from the General Government Transition Pool Program; 3. Been appointed from a layoff list. B. The Agency will have the authority to shorten an employee’s review period. Employees will receive a permanent appointment to the position upon successful completion of the transition review period. C. The Agency may separate an employee or an employee may voluntarily separate during the transition review period. Upon separation, and at the employee’s request, the employee’s name will be placed on or returned to the layoff list. The employee will remain on the list until such time as eligibility expires or the employee has been rehired, whichever occurs first. Separation during the transition review period will not be subject to the grievance procedure in Article 27, Grievance Procedure.
