Common use of Turned in Trips Clause in Contracts

Turned in Trips. Once chosen, a trip may not be turned back in unless it is to trade up on the Choose or Move Board, or in the actual case of a true emergency. 1. Notice of said emergency will be given in writing to the Transportation Supervisor for consideration. 2. If a driver turns in a trip after the Wednesday Trip Board and it was not to trade up or due to a true emergency, that driver will be passed for any and all trip opportunities and the next week’s trip boards. If a driver turns in a second (2nd) trip and it was not to trade up or due to a true emergency, that driver will be passed for the next two (2) weeks trip boards. This will continue for each trip turned in and it was not to trade up or due to a true emergency (i.e., third (3rd) trip/three (3) weeks trip boards, fourth (4th) trip/four (4) weeks trip boards, etc.) and the turned in trip will go to Choose or Move board. This will continue through the school year and will reset at the beginning of each school year.
