Turning Lanes Sample Clauses

The 'Turning Lanes' clause defines the requirements and standards for the design, construction, or use of dedicated lanes on a roadway that facilitate vehicles making turns, typically at intersections. This clause may specify the minimum length, signage, and markings required for turning lanes, as well as any restrictions on their use, such as time-of-day limitations or vehicle type restrictions. Its core practical function is to improve traffic flow and safety by providing clear, designated spaces for turning vehicles, thereby reducing congestion and the risk of collisions at intersections.
