Common use of Two Times Clause in Contracts

Two Times. An employee shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times their base hourly rate of pay plus COLA and at the rate of two (2) times any applicable shift differential for: 1. All hours worked in excess of 16 continuous hours, exclusive of the non-paid lunch period for "0" Shift, and for all hours worked on the seventh (7th) consecutive day worked in a workweek, provided he/she has worked or is credited with a m1n1mum of four (4) hours in each of the preceding six (6) workdays of that workweek. (Refer to 'll10-Hour Shift" and 11 12-Hour Shift" rules in Section 3.) 2. Schedule change, if such change results in more than eight (8) hours worked in a 24-hour period or more than 40 hours worked in a workweek, except when such change is made at the request of or for the convenience of the employee.
