Uncovering and Correction of Work Sample Clauses

The "Uncovering and Correction of Work" clause establishes the procedures for inspecting completed or covered work and mandates the correction of any discovered defects. In practice, this clause allows the project owner or their representative to require that certain portions of work be uncovered for inspection, even if they have already been completed or concealed, and obligates the contractor to repair or replace any work found to be non-compliant with contract requirements. This ensures that all work meets the agreed-upon standards and specifications, ultimately protecting the owner from hidden defects and ensuring the quality and integrity of the finished project.

If a portion of the Work has been covered which the Contract Administrator has not specifically requested to examine prior to its being covered or which the Contract Documents did not require to remain uncovered until examined, the Contract Administrator may request to see such Work, and it shall be uncovered by the Contractor.
