Unfounded. The act complained of did not occur and that the complaint was false, the case is classified as Unfounded. - NOT SUSTAINED: Those cases which cannot be resolved by investigation, either because sufficient evidence is not available or because of material conflicts in the evidence, are resolved in favor of the accused employee and are classified as Not Sustained. - MISCONDUCT NOT BASED ON THE COMPLAINT: Should investigation reveal that the employee was guilty of misconduct not part of the original complaint, the case might be classified Misconduct Not Based on the Complaint.
