Common use of Uniform Allowance Clause in Contracts

Uniform Allowance. Employees, excluding as-needed employees, who are required to wear and supply their own uniform or lab coat or ▇▇▇▇▇ in the course of their duties and who are employed on September 1 of any year covered by the Agreement, shall be paid an annual uniform allowance of $175.00, or, in the case of lab coats or smocks, $100.00 no later than the first pay period in December of each year. The Department shall fix the appropriate amount for the allowance after meeting and conferring with the Union prior to September 1 of each year.
