Common use of Unintended Consequences Clause in Contracts

Unintended Consequences. It is the intent of the parties to continue the contract period as if there was no transition from RPA to Teamsters while recognizing that there has been a transition in Union representation. The intention is not to otherwise modify the contract until the end of the original contract period. The parties agree that the MOUs and LOUs attached to this contract as Appendix C shall continue in effect for the duration of this agreement. If, during the term of this Agreement or any extension thereof, there is an issue that arises related to an MOU, ▇▇▇, or Agreement that would have been handled differently had the Teamsters not become the representative, the Parties agree that their intention will be to carry out the terms of the MOU, ▇▇▇, or Agreement as it would have been if there was not a transition to Teamsters representation.
