Common use of UNION INITIATED Clause in Contracts

UNION INITIATED. The Union shall have the right to file a policy grievance based upon a difference with the College concerning the interpretation, application, administration or alleged contravention of an article or articles of this Collective Agreement. A policy grievance is one that raises issues of an interpretive nature which may have future ramifications on the bargaining unit or on the interpretation of an article or articles of this Collective Agreement. Such grievance shall not normally be filed unless it affects more than one Employee.
