Union Management Relations. 1.2.1 All collective bargaining with respect to wages, hours, and working conditions shall be conducted by authorized representatives of the Union and authorized representatives of the Employer.
Union Management Relations. Any changes deemed necessary in this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement of the parties at any time during the life of this Agreement.
Union Management Relations. 17.01 The parties to this Agreement pledge to work toward the greatest possible degree of consultation and cooperation believing that the following concepts provide a fundamental framework for improved labour-management relations:
a) the industrial enterprise is an economically characterized work community of capital-investors and workers under the leadership of a management;
b) the economic character springs from a continuous striving toward efficient use of scarce resources, energy and environment, and in the adequate development of research, production and marketing;
c) the enterprise requires authority relationships under a strong central leadership or management;
d) a strong management does not discourage cooperation but stimulates it, recognizing that while leadership without labour can do nothing, labour without management cannot survive.
17.02 a) In order to further the aims of the enterprise, the parties agree to schedule a Union-Management meeting quarterly, or as required, during the life of this Agreement. The meeting shall serve as a forum for discussion and consultation about policies and practices not necessarily covered by the Collective Agreement. The areas for discussion shall include but not be limited to:
i) hiring policies;
ii) discipline and discharge policies;
iii) training and promotions;
iv) safety measures;
v) matters that affect the working conditions of the employees.
Union Management Relations. 3.4.1 Within (1) month of the signing of this Agreement, the Labour Management Committee shall be constituted and shall meet as often as is necessary, at the request of either party, to discuss, make recommendations and resolve issues including, but not confined to:
(a) matters of Employer and employee relations arising out of this Agreement;
(b) correcting or alleviating conditions which might cause misunderstandings or grievances;
(c) reviewing suggestions from employees for improving practices or service.
3.4.2 The Labour Management Committee shall be composed of three (3) representatives of the College and three (3) representatives of the Union with alternative representatives invited as necessary by either party as resource persons.
3.4.3 The College shall, for a maximum of three (3) employees, pay the substitution costs directly incurred by attendance at Labour Management Meetings or during the discharge of any business authorised by the Labour Management Committee. The Union shall bear the related costs of attendance.

The two (2) committee members appointed by the Union shall be the stewards. The minutes shall record the business of each meeting, a copy of which shall be mailed to the Union's provincial office.
20.03 A committee member, attending an approved Union-Management meeting during regular working hours, shall be entitled to his regular hourly rate of pay, excluding travel time, regardless of the number of hours. In the event that such meetings are held outside of regular working hours, the Employer agrees to pay the committee member his regular hourly rate of pay for all time spent at the meeting. Travel time shall not be paid. No overtime rates will be paid for such meetings.
20.04 The Employer may meet periodically with his employees for the purpose of discussing any matters of mutual interest or concern to the Employer, the Union and the employees.

Union Management Relations. 4.1 All collective bargaining with respect to hours and general working conditions shall be conducted by authorized representatives of the Union and authorized representatives of the Employer.
4.2 Agreements reached between the parties to this Agreement shall become effective only when signed by designated representatives of the Union and the Employer.
4.3 Labor management meetings may be scheduled at which time matters involving hours and working conditions affecting employees covered by this Agreement will be discussed.
A. Meetings may be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time, but not later than fifteen working days from the date of request for a meeting. Requests shall be in writing and contain the items at issue. The request shall be sent to the Court Services Director with a copy to the Presiding Judge or his/her designee.
B. Prior to the meeting, a written agenda shall be prepared by the party requesting the meeting. The agenda may be supplemented by additions made by the other party. The Employer shall furnish the Union with a copy of the final agenda three working days prior to the date of the meeting, when practicable.
C. Disposition of matters covered in a labor management meeting shall not contradict, add to, or otherwise modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
D. The Employer may require that the meeting be held during non-working hours.
Union Management Relations. All formal negotiations or bargaining with respect to the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be conducted by authorized representatives of the Union and such authorized representatives of the City. Agreements reached as a result of such negotiations shall become effective only when signed by the authorized representatives of the parties.
Union Management Relations. 18.01 Union/Management Meetings - It is recognized that meetings between the Company and the Union are essential to the maintenance of good relations between employee and employer and the establishment of mutual confidence and trust. To this end, joint meetings will be held on a monthly basis between Management and not more than two (2) Union Representatives to promote better communication, mutual respect and understanding, to discuss ways and means of improving working conditions, methods, operating efficiency, maintenance of good morale and to provide for advance discussion of changes affecting the work or working conditions of employees. Such Union/Management meetings however, will not be considered as being in lieu of the grievance procedure.
Union Management Relations. 8.1 The Union will supply the University with the names of its officers and stewards, and the University will supply at any time it is requested in regard to any employee or group of employees, the names of the supervisory personnel and their functional responsibilities.
8.2 The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees or any other advisors when dealing or negotiating with the University. Such representatives or advisors shall have general access to the campus in order to investigate and assist in the settlement of a grievance.
8.3 As soon as possible after a written request by the Union, the University shall provide to the Union reasonable technical information pertaining to the bargaining unit required by the Union such as number of positions in the bargaining unit, job classifications, and wage rates.
8.4 The University agrees to allow the Union to hold meetings and educational functions and to conduct Union business on University premises. The University will make space available for such functions, subject to normal procedural and scheduling restrictions.
8.5 The University agrees to invite and accept representatives to ad hoc committees on the same basis as other on-campus unions, as deemed appropriate by the University.
8.6 The University will provide to the Union one four-drawer filing cabinet.
8.7 The University agrees to allow the Union reasonable use of internal mail service, including electronic mail, free of charge. The Union will pay the cost of connecting its hardware to the network. The University will permit the Union access to disk space to establish its own home page on the World Wide Web.
8.8 The University agrees to provide the Union with one bulletin board on the main floor of either the Laboratory or the Classroom Building and another on the main floor of the Education Building, upon which the Union may post notices and other similar information which may be of interest to its members, and upon which Human Resources will post notices of jobs (see Article 10.3).
8.9 The University will provide the Union with self-contained office space on the main campus.
